2016年中國境內(nèi)新增兩棲動物新種12種（其中墨脫棱鼻樹蛙為新屬新種），爬行動物新種4種。其中大多數(shù)新物種集中發(fā)現(xiàn)于云南（5種）和西藏（4種）兩省區(qū)。此外，中國增加兩棲動物1科，1屬，4種的新分布紀錄。

至2016年年底，我國已記錄兩棲動物450種（中國兩棲類，2017；www.amphibiachina.org）； 爬行動物473種（Cai et al., 2015; Wang & Jiang 2016）。

中國兩棲爬行動物分類變動

確認亞洲角蛙科Ceratobatrachidae Boulenger, 1884在中國的分布。該科目前在中國僅包括舌突蛙屬Liurana ?！疚墨I18】

描述樹蛙科一新屬，即棱鼻樹蛙屬Nasutixalus Jiang, Yan, Wang & Che, 2016。該屬目前已知兩種，中國境內(nèi)分布一種—墨脫棱鼻樹蛙N. medogensis Jiang, Wang, Yan & Che, 2016。【文獻6】

恢復無耳蟾屬Atympanophrys Tian & Hu, 1983有效性，其下包括4種，即大花無耳蟾A. gigantica (Liu, Hu & Yang, 1960)、 南江無耳蟾A. nankiangensis (Liu & Hu, 1966)、沙坪無耳蟾A. shapingensis (Liu, 1950)、瓦屋山耳蟾A. wawuensis (Fei, Jiang & Zheng, 2001) ；恢復異角蟾屬Xenophrys Günther, 1864有效性，我國原歸屬于角蟾屬Megophrys Kuhl & Van Hasselt, 1822的大部分物種歸入異角蟾屬，角蟾屬在中國沒有分布，僅局限分布在巽他古陸（Sundaland）。角蟾屬和異角蟾屬的地理分布可能在馬來半島（Malay Peninsula）有重疊。【文獻2】

飛虎屬Ptychozoon Kuhl & van Hasselt, 1822在我國云南西雙版納首次被發(fā)現(xiàn)，為我國爬行綱屬級新紀錄。【文獻16】

鱷蜥在越南分布的種群被確定為新亞種，故我國分布的種群變更為鱷蜥指名亞種Shinisaurus crocodilurus crocodilurus Ahl, 1930【文獻13】

西伯利亞蝮在中國的分布得到確定，我國原“中介蝮”應為西伯利亞蝮Gloydius halys (Pallas, 1776)不同亞種的復合體，即西伯利亞蝮指名亞種G. h. halys (Pallas, 1776)、阿拉善亞種G. h. cognatus (Gloyd, 1977)、華北亞種G. h. stejnegeri (Rendahl, 1933)，其中，后兩者被提升為種級，為阿拉善蝮G. cognatus (Gloyd, 1977) 和華北蝮G. stejnegeri (Rendahl, 1933)。此外，巖棲蝮G. saxatilis (Emelianov，1937)系 “G.  intermedius (Strauch 1868）”的次訂同物異名，應訂正為黑眉蝮G. intermedius（Strauch 1868）?！疚墨I10】
